Vice Sheet - September 2002
by Sallie Banko, Region 2 RVC
If you have not done so recently, you might want to check out American Mensa's website. (www.us.mensa.org) There have been some changes, additions and rearrangements. Does a local group have a web page? Who should you contact about a changing address or new e-mail address? Want to know more about MERF's scholarship program? How about the newest membership benefits? Can't get enough of the letters in the Bulletin? It's all in there, and then some! And speaking of web sites, you are aware that Region 2 has one, right? (www.region2.us.mensa.org)

And speaking of where you can go for what... I appreciate those members who, when not sure what to do or who to contact, send their questions and/or concerns to me. This is my job - so don't think it a bother to do the same when/if you find yourself in a similar situation of not knowing how to proceed. I'm also a good listener if all you want to do is let off a little steam. A little ranting every once in a while feels great - I should know, I've done enough of it myself! Please understand that I can't solve everything, but I guarantee I'll try! Call, write, e-mail or talk to me at an event or gathering; I'd like to make sure that things are in great shape when I hand the reins over to whoever becomes this region's next RVC.

And speaking of events, I'm sure you've already made all of the appropriate arrangements for the following:

National testing day October 19
Liberty Bell 12 "Ms Just Wanna Have Fun" October 18-20 in Philadelphia
Hoot out at the IQ Corral November 8-10 in Williamsburg, VA
Winter Solstice December 13-15 in Lancaster, PA

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this year's Solstice... something about an AMC meeting... So if you go, make sure to drink a Diet Pepsi in my name.
