Vice Sheet - March 2002 by Sallie Banko, Region 2 RVC |
Just a few things this month.
Not much to report this month, I've been busy getting ready for the
upcoming AMC meeting at Snowball. It's nice having an AMC meeting take
place so close to home! My only regret is that since I'll be attending
meetings for most of the weekend, I won't be able to enjoy all that
Snowball has to offer! By the time you read this, the RG and AMC meeting
will be over, so I'd like to say thank you in advance to those who made
sure I had a good time despite my obligations and responsibilities.....
Hey, thanks!
I wanted to pass along some information about a new mailing to begin
this April. At the request of some of you, the national office will
begin conducting a quarterly mailing to all Area Coordinators. We're
doing what we can to keep everybody informed and involved! This is
something new, so don't hesitate to offer suggestions on what could be
included in this mailing and whether or not you find what was mailed
helpful.
One of the questions that came up recently by a few of the members
of region 2 had to do with how to go about updating a change of address,
be it a house address or e-mail. All you need to do is contact the
National office by phone, mail or e-mail. Many do not think to update
their e-dress, and we have ended up with quite a few non-working e-mail
address listed on the membership lists. By contacting the National office
you are also getting the change to the local group, as the N.O. forwards
all changes. What would be nice, however, is if you took the time to
notify both levels, national and local; that way there will be no lag
time before the local group is aware of the change. And remember to fill
out the updated PDQ this year so that the national office is aware of your
privacy preferences.
That's it for now ( I told you there wasn't much this month!) - Next
month I'll have notes on the upcoming AMC meeting.
