Meet the RVC

Is your group geared up for National Testing Day? This year it's scheduled to take
place on October 19th. As of this writing, 8 out of the 10 groups in region two
are planning to participate in this nationwide testing effort. If you know of
someone who would like to take the qualifying test, that would be a good day to do so!
Also, it is fast approaching the time to set up volunteers for MERF's scholarship program. If you want to do something other than party or socialize, are looking for something a little more cerebral - but don't want to dedicate TOO much of your time, this is the time to step forward. Probably both the local group and the region will be asking for volunteers to read and rate essays. Some do it as a group event. Others send out the essays and each judge reads and rates the essays as time permits. Sheila Gross has volunteered to yet again be our regional Scholarship Chair (thank you Sheila!) If you are one of those wonderful people who volunteered to help the judging on the regional level last year but didn't get to do it, contact Sheila (probably near the end of January would be a good time - don't worry, I'll remind you of it then!) and let her know if you are still interested. And lastly, don't forget about the Leadership Development Work shop that is to take place this month!
