As I write my first RVC column, the votes are being tabulated for American Mensa's election. The new AMC will take office on July 1, so I really don't have much to tell you other than to introduce myself. I joined Mensa in 1992, and have been an active member ever since. I previously served on the AMC for the 2005-2007 term, first as RVC, then as Secretary. I am a member of Central Pennsylvania Mensa and serve as their Membership Officer, Webmaster, and proctor. I am currently serving on my sixth Annual Gathering committee, this time as Logistics Chair and AG Co-Chair. The Annual Gathering takes place July 1 - 5 in Pittsburgh. At this year's AG, both the AMC meeting and Annual Business Meeting will take place on Thursday July 2. The agendas will be published in mid to late June. I leave for the AG on June 30, so please contact me before then if you have any comments or questions on the agendas or any other Mensa matters. Our region will be having a Meet and Greet at the AG on Saturday at 3 PM. I hope to see many of you there. The easiest way to reach me is by email or phone in the evenings (717-308-1221). As I have always said, an effective RVC will communicate with the members, listen to their wishes, and help when needed. I look forward to continuing to work for Mensa and all of you in Region 2 as your RVC.
